Humane Community Cat Care in Putnam, CT

Every program we run is guided by compassion, science-based methods, and a commitment to the long-term wellbeing of Putnam's community cats.

Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR)

TNR is the most effective, humane method for managing community cat populations. We humanely trap cats, arrange for spay/neuter surgery and vaccination, then return them to their outdoor home — stopping the reproductive cycle while allowing cats to live out their lives safely.

Temporary Safe Housing

Some cats need more than TNR — kittens, injured cats, or those too socialized to thrive outdoors may need temporary safe housing while they're assessed for placement. We coordinate safe, caring temporary housing to bridge the gap between the street and a permanent home.

Shelter & Rescue Coordination

We work hand-in-hand with local shelters and rescue organizations across the region to ensure that cats in our care receive the most appropriate placement outcome — whether that means adoption, placement with a rescue partner, or safe return to their community.
